March and April, I didn’t even have a chance to get to know ya! It’s kind of sad how time whizzes on by as we’re caught up in the craziness of life. I’m making it a point to embrace the many changes headed my way and enjoy a laid back summer full of play and travels. I captured the images above from a recent scouting trip to Lewis Ginter and everything around me reminded me of transitions and the absolute beauty in it! Looking forward.

Just added a new photography section of some lighthearted, everyday things. Will continue to add more sections as I casually snap away and play with my cameras.

J H I Sock Hop of ‘52

Following last year’s very successful “J H I Prom of ‘85″, we are continuing the school dance theme by throwing a sock hop this Friday, the 30th. It will be held in the gym of J H I high school with music from DJ Pandora and of course some spiked punch. Tell your classmates we’ll be rocking our socks off (sorry, had to).

Tea Derby Summary

All the time spent scouring local consignment shops, thrift stores, and bidding online for vintage pieces has finally paid off. I wish I had more behind the scenes photos of the screen printing, hot gluing and cursing that went on weeks leading up to the big event, but these snap shots will have to do for now (full album on my Facebook). Thanks again to those who made the trek out to Sara’s bridal shower. Good times all around.

Tea Derby Hankies

Up and drying are some hankies and tea towels I screen printed as Sara’s bridal shower invitations. Her theme? A blend between a tea party and horse derby – a tea derby! The process of collecting vintage hankies and tea towels was fun. Getting to know the YUDU was… interesting, but in the end it did it’s job. There you have it.
